VISIT THE ORPHANAGE

Visitors are very welcome at the children’s care home. If you have the opportunity to visit you can see for yourself where the children live, and how they are cared for. The children normally attend school six days of the week, so if you want to make sure you will meet the children please arrange a time through the Himalayan Glacier Trekking (HGT) office in Thamel.

Also, if you are thinking of possibly donating some goods in kind, or money, visiting the orphanage is a good way to assess how you can make a difference to the lives of the children, and how your money might be best spent.

Please contact us through the Contact Us page to arrange your visit, or just walk into the HGT office in Thamel, Kathmandu. The orphanage is located about 20 minutes by taxi or local bus from Thamel, or an interesting 45-minute walk.
